4Great Soundtrack!  Nov 20, 2009
I love the "Twilight" soundtrack. Of course, it includes the best songs from the movie, but also works really well as a stand-alone album. The best tracks on the album, in my opinion, are "Supermassive black hole" by Muse, "Spotlight" by Mutemath, "Decode" by Paramore, and "Tremble for my beloved" by Collective Soul. These are all up-tempo and rock. I think the songs fit the movie well, especially their respective scenes. My only requests for this album are to have Rob Pattinson's other song "Let me sign" included, especially since it was featured very prominently at the climax of the movie; and I would have liked to have "Clair de lune" by Debussy as it is the only piece of music ever actually named in the Twilight novel as well as in the movie. The only other change I would make would be to move "Spotlight" to the lead off track since it has a built in introduction in the music and would have fit better at the beginning of the album instead of in the middle. All in all, I love this soundtrack and listen to it repeatedly.

5Twilight Soundtrack: A MUST HAVE!  Nov 12, 2009
This is a great soundtrack. All the songs are perfect for the movie and for Bella and Edward. Even my 9 year old daughter loves to listen to it. She asks for the "baseball song", song #1 on the soundtrack, everytime she gets into the car. This is a great buy and worth every dollar.

5Love it!  Nov 04, 2009
I personally loved this soundtrack! Exactly what I imagined Bella and Edward's songs would sound like. Even my 4yr old son loves listening to it in the car!

5Super massive soundtrack...  Nov 01, 2009
The Twilight soundtrack rocks... a perfect acoutrement to the movie. I am a huge collector of soundtracks, and this one fits the bill- every track is worthy of note. Not sure what happened between this soundtrack and New Moon's, but the new one is awful. If you were looking for an equally great soundtrack from the second film, don't bother!

3Not the greatest soundtrack, but...  Oct 30, 2009
First of all, let me say that I loved the books...but I was NOT a big fan of the movie (particularly the actor/actress for Edward/Bella); I'm glad they have a new director and I'm hoping New Moon is a turn-around for this series.

That being said, I'll tell you my thoughts on the soundtrack...
A lot of it seems put on there for the "Tweenie" demographic - ie, people who think Paramore is "OMG TEH GREATEST EVAR." While they have good band choices (ie - Linkin Park, Muse, Collective Soul, Carter Burwell), for the most part it really doesn't fit in with the movie UNLESS you've read the book and know about the personalities of the characters from that. For instance, "Leave Out All the Rest" fits semi-well with Edward's character...in the book. In the movie, he's played as a weakling, emo-pansy vampire who doesn't display half of the maturity or DEPTH of emotion that the character in the book has.
"Super Massive Black Hole" by Muse is an awesome song...but rather out of context in it's placement in the movie. It would have made good intro music for the first time you see the Cullens, since it's talking about falling for someone who seems very superficial. Instead, it was played during the baseball game...a time when the whole family is being pretty genuine with Bella and open about who they are.
And don't get me started on Rob Pattinson's "contribution"...the music for the song is pretty, but the boy can't sing. You can barely make out a word of what he sings.

Overall, I gave this soundtrack a 3-star rating because it does have good songs on it for the most part (points for putting Muse on the record - they're an awesome, awesome band and I recommend their album "Absolution"), but it just doesn't integrate well with the movie. If you can find the single songs on there that you like available for download, I'd go that route instead of buying the whole disc, but that's just me.
