@#&% Atlantic Records! Oct 02, 2009 Shinedown is a great group and I really love this album, BUT I'm giving the so called "enhanced CD" an F-. It plays in a home or car stereo CD player just fine, but put it in a CD-ROM drive and you can't play the music. You only get access to one directory with 2 files that automatically launch a window asking you to sign up for their mailing list. (Signing up for their mailing list doesn't prevent the same stupid window from appearing each time you load the CD.) The music files are hidden so completely that the only program I found capable of identifying them is EZ CD-creator, a program from the late 90's that doesn't even run on Windows XP or Vista. Long story short, if you buy this CD and intend to listen to it on your computer (as I did), if you don't have EZ-CD Creator or another such program capable of reaching into the bowels of this disk where the actual music is apparently stored, you won't find %#%@ but 2 useless files and a link to their mailing list. LAME LAME LAME, the producers of this album ought to be publicaly executed for trying to pass off a booby-trapped, broken shill of this product as an actual enhanced CD. [Criminal suggestion deleted] this album instead, or at least D/L the mp3s. For #$%@ sake, DO NOT buy this PIECE OF @#$%!

2 good songs, otherwise, average at best! Oct 02, 2009 I purchased this CD on the strength of the title track and Second Chance, both songs I was introduced to by a local hard rock cover band who plays them at every show. Unfortunately, the remainder of the album can charitably be described as corporate, radio-ready dreck! Absolutely nothing interesting, original or even exciting aside from the aforementioned 2 songs. Should've purchased them as mp3 singles. But considering how many albums they sell, and attendance at their shows, Shinedown's pre-fabricated, synthetic brand of corporate rock will be around for years to come, much to the delight of SHEEPple fans from coast to coast!

Nickelback Jr. Sep 14, 2009 These guys suck. Corporate/redneck/feed the masses rock. Try instead:
Humbug-Arctic Monkeys
Midlife-Blur
Two great 09 releases
The Sound of Greatness Sep 13, 2009 I am new to Shinedown and picked this CD up after seeing them at a concert featuring several bands. Good, heavy rock that is structured well with a good mix of rockers and slower paced tunes. I think what impresses me the most is that they don't sound like a knock off of another band, they are unique and versatile. Definitely be looking forward to their next release as well as catching up on their back catalog of music.

Best CD I've bought in a long time! Sep 06, 2009 I've heard the song "Sound of Madness" on the radio the other day and had decided to check out the cd when I get home. Thanks to amazon.com cd sampler, I realized that I knew quite a few songs on it. Now that I've got the cd in my car cd player, it can repeat itself and I don't even have to skip a song. I sometimes rotate my cd selection in the car, but this one is being added to my permanent stock.
