Description:

Uncle Kracker’s first two albums of soulful, funky, down home rock & roll sold over two million copies and spawned hits like "Follow Me," "In A Little While" and "Drift Away." Now, inspired by early Beatles albums and Rod Stewart’s classic disc Gasoline Alley, Uncle Kracker fills his highly anticipated new album 72 And Sunny with an acoustic/electric feel reminiscent of early ‘70s rock and country albums, without compromising his signature songwriting style. The album demonstrates Uncle Kracker’s growth as an artist, showcasing his knack for writing undeniably catchy melodies that combine elements of country, down-home soul, and juke joint pop.

5Seventy two and happening  Oct 25, 2009
Between this album and the new album[Happy Hour] has been too long and to far in between for uncle kracker there aren't too many artist's that have the wide range of music that Kracker has and uses.He take a risk,I think on all his albums by using different styles and he pulls it off 95% of the time.I am not a huge fan of the slow tempo music but when he does up tempo and fast country and rap, he hits the mark.I believe the only thing missing from Uncle Kracker collection is a "live" album uncut and unedited.then i believe kracker will be in his element.

5Love the Raw Sound, Lyrics and Style  Nov 03, 2006
Yes - this is my kind of music!! Previously, I found this album by searching for the song "Follow Me", and then found the Seventy Two and Sunny album. I loved this album for two reasons. The somewhat raw sound - I get so tired of hearing digitally perfected music - nobody sings perfectly. It reminds of the early Linda Ronstadt, CCR years. The pop/countryesque lyrics and melodies are original and made me want to sing along. Really great music - I hope to hear more from Uncle Kracker!

5This is one GREAT cd  Oct 03, 2004
Although I was familar with Kid Rock, I wasn't really that familar with Uncle Kracker. Oh, I'd seen him on the video with Kenny Chesney but as far as his music- I took a chance and bought this cd after reading about it in People magazine. WOW is all I have to say. There is not one bad song on here and how many cd's can you say that about today? Matter of fact I can't remember a release since the Gin Blossom's, "New Misrable Experience" that is consistent all the way through from track to track..and I buy alot of music. I HIGHLY recommend this one.

5This is Uncle Kracker's best work yet!!!  Aug 16, 2004
This album could not have come out at a better time, for me anyways. I read in the liner notes that he was going through a separation from his wife at the time he wrote most of these songs, and then when they got back together, he changed some of the lyrics.

At this point in my life, I am going through a separation, brought on by my husband, and the songs touch my heart and have so much feeling in them, hardly a day goes by when I don't listen to this C.D., and feel the pain. But it helps.

I have all 3 of his C.D.'s and thoroughly enjoy them all!
