 Good 'Old' Rush Sep 30, 2009
Okay, Okay, I'm sold! Twist my arm, why don't you? Whew! Glad I got that off my chest.
Being a RUSH fan for OVER 30 years (Yes, I'm old, too), I think it's just too FAR OUT to see this chronology brought up to date. I was out of the loop for a while; yet somehow I knew that the three from Toronto were still at it somewhere. I managed to catch a show in '96 (my 3rd), and it was AWESOME!! The videos are great, and these guys are still second to none live. Remixes are always a treat as well.
So do I understand there was a problem with the 'Vapor Trails' LP? I didn't think RUSH would allow that to happen. Well, glad to hear that they fixed it on this set. ENJOY!

I will admit I really thought Rush were a bunch of old farts aftern Hold Your Fire. I am a child of the 80's. Born 1970. So I was a teen ager during the Power Windows, Hold Your Fire era. Gave up on Rush then.
Downloaded this recently just as a goof. WOW! I was really suprised. Rush really continued to give us some great hard rock (am I dating myself with "hard rock") well into 2000! Really impressed. I liked this so much I downloaded all all of theur post Hold Your Fire releases.
Way to go Rush. You kick it.

Rush is a huge part of my music catalog and this is another great addition. The re-mix's did take some time to get use to. This would mainly be for those who are use to the Vapor Trails mix. With that and with the choice to not have "Show Don't Tell" on the audio cd I have to give the cd/dvd 4 stars.
The DVD does the job and is a good watch.

I do much recommend the version with bonus DVD, so you'll have a more complete selection of the best songs of this period in the carreer of RUSH. What I happily heard was the new remixes of One Little Victory and Earthshine. This is proof of how much Vapor Trails needs to be remixed!!!
The DVD has the best Rush videos ever! and The Colbert Report interview is very funny :D
I keep my 5 stars since the content of the album sounds great and it is a tight selection. But reading other reviews, I agree, some songs could have been included: Test for Echo, Cold Fire, Between the Sun & Moon, Resist (studio), Secret Touch (remixed)... Just to mention some other great songs.

Another great release from Rush. Some of this I already have, some of it I don't. But what I found to be really cool, are the video's on disc two. The video's alone make it well worth the purchase.
