Wow! Oct 11, 2009 I saw Laura in concert with Maxwell. Thought she was talented and a beautiful person. I ordered the CD a few months later. It is great. Wished I had listened to it before seeing her live. Buy this one. It's a pleasant surprise!
Soulful, Sexy, and Satisfying. Get a glass of wine and chill to this! Sep 12, 2009 This album...from beginning to end...is wonderful. Grammy caliber at its finest. Laura you have a new fan in me!!

From Her Voice to My Ears--Love It Sep 10, 2009 The first time I heard of Laura Izibor was on the radio, and the song they were playing was "From My Heart to Yours". I said, WOW, I love this song. So I went on the Amazon website, looked up the artist by name, and found what I was looking for. Then I decided to play the samples to see if the rest of her songs were equally as beautiful, and that is when I decided that I have to have this CD. I recommend it to all music lovers no matter what genre of music you prefer. I think you will be pleasantly surprised! You don't have to take my word for it. Just do as I did, and sample.
Refreshing Sep 09, 2009 Looking forward to more by this young woman. Ms. Izibor is a breath of fresh air to the "typical" no imagination sound of many of her peers. Her sound is truthful, unique and original. This CD has music that makes you dance, cry, laugh, think and give thanks! An incredible freshman offering.

Best New Artists Sep 08, 2009 Wow! Izibor is very unique in this day and age of the all-sound a-like female singers. She is truly a breath of fresh air. Not all, but most pop stars can't sing soul music because they can't hold a note and they hide their inadequacies in pop music. On the other hand, very few soul singers can sing pop music without giving up heir powerful vocals. For example, Jennifer Hudson has a powerful soulful voice, but she looses something when she sings strictly pop songs. However, Izibor is one of the few soul singers who can sing pop music without giving up her powerful and soulful vocals. As a student of history, this phenomenon has happened before in the 60s when the Motown female singing style had most female artists trying to sound like the Supremes. However, a female artist named Dionne Warwick came along with a soulful contemporary style and put a crack in the female Motown dynasty. Izibor remains me of Dionne because her soulful pop style is different from the other sound alike female artists of today. Hopefully she will have the same success as Dionne did, but this is a different time and era where talent is not enough to be successful. I just hope she does not have a manager who will derail her career and put her on the shelf like so many other talented artists have been done. But for now Izibor has put many no talented female singers on notice!
