Description:

Produced by multiple Grammy-Award winner Rob Cavallo, Happy Hour is a breezy blend of country-flavored pop and rock and roll that showcases not only the Detroit native's natural appeal as a likeable Everyman, but also his considerable gifts as a songwriter. Though many know him from his early years as the DJ in Kid Rock's Twisted Brown Trucker Band, Uncle Kracker has had impressive success as a songwriter, racking up co-writing credits on Kid Rock's blockbuster hits 'Bawitdaba,' 'Cowboy,' 'Forever,' 'Only God Knows Why,' and 2008's No. 1 'All Summer Long,' as well as his own Adult Top 40 No. 1 'Follow Me' (from his 2000 double-platinum debut Double Wide). On 'Smile,' the buoyant first single, Uncle Kracker's soulful drawl unspools over massively hooky choruses.

5Happy Hour Uncle Kracker  Jan 09, 2010
Brought this for my daughter for Christmas and she was very happy. Smile is a great song.

5Great album!  Dec 19, 2009
I buy a lot of music, but this is my favorite of the year! It is refreshing, upbeat, and very "contagious". I cannot stop playing it. Also, you do not have to worry about turning down the volume if the kids come into the room like you did with some of Uncle Kracker's previous work.

4Why isnt this getting the radio play it deserves?  Nov 26, 2009
So far only 7 songs into the album, i've loved each song. It's really rare for me to ever think that about hearing tunes for the first time, but Uncle Krackers long wait has been worth it. I'm really surprised how good this album sounds. Ranging from rock, hip hop, and country, makes a decent combination that seems to be working better to me then Kid Rocks last couple of albums. I hope this album gets some radio play soon and it gets the respect it should be receiving.

Now the albums finished, ive loved every track. Been a long time since that's happened!

There doesn't seem to be a song that is as catchy as some of Uncle Krackers previous songs, but the songs here do sound great. check it out, it wont kill you.

1What a disappointment!  Oct 30, 2009
I love Uncle Kracker but this album is just plain bad ... maybe it's because he's going to far into the country arena for me but I just don't like it. We waited and waited for new music from him and this is what we get? Don't waste your money ...

3poor quality  Oct 26, 2009
i love the music, but the quality of the CD sucked. I purchased the cd for the song "Smile" and it skips in 2 places.
