Not very exciting Oct 08, 2010
By Cathie J. Forgus I just love this man's voice, but he really needs to get someone else to write his songs for him. These songs are so monotone I about fell asleep.

"Southern Rocker"
Uncle Kracker may have released better albums in the past, and the "Original Happy Hour" album may be better than this "Happy Hour - South River Road Sessions" album, however, in all due respect, this is not a bad album. I like the "country style" of the songs. I especially like the song "Good to be Me", featuring his buddy, Kid Rock. I also really enjoyed the song "Livin' the Dream", which features samples from the Classic "Whitesnake", Rock Song: "Here I Go Again". The other songs are good also, in my opinion. Uncle Kracker is on the "Country Music Tribute to Lynyrd Skynyd" CD, where he performs the "classic", "All I Can Do is Write About It". It's about the environment, and the Uncle does a great job with this tribute song. I like Uncle Kracker. I respect the other viewpoints, but just thought it would be helpful, to leave my viewpoint. Thanks!!!!

Seriously... Nov 20, 2010
By CottonT I love Uncle Kracker, I really do. I have loved every CD he's ever put out, although I will admit 72 & Sunny took a while for me to get used to, but this CD is just crap. No, not because the songs necessarily suck, because none of them do, but because we heard them all before. All that he did here was change some of the instruments to give everything a country sound. The only reason this gets two stars is because I Kid Rock was featured in Good To Be Me, but next time, I hope he puts new material into his EP's. How about the original Happy Hour songs, that'd be cool.
