This is one of the best records I have heard in recent memory. Robert Francis at the age of only 22 yrs has made an album that instantly feels nostalgic. His yearning voice and heartfelt songs about love are filled with melancholy yet hopeful swells that knock the wind out of you. This record is an instant classic and a must listen.

Robert Francis has hit another home run with his new album "Before Nightfall". Beautifully constructed the lyrical depth of his songs are only heightened by a voice so rich and soulful that some of the notes will give you shivers. You won't be disapointed...I promise.

I had heard and seen some video of Robert before I bought this disc. I think the videos were from Music Fog, and he covered quite a few of the songs on this disc. The video stuff was Killer, especially "Climb a Mountain", the song that made me buy this disc.
My question, after listening to the disc over and again, is. "How does anyone produce and release a disc which is sub par to a live, studio performance?" If I had been Robert, after hearing the production of the disc, I would have gone back to the video source, bought the audio rights to that performance and used its audio on my disc.
Don't get me wrong, the disc is a pretty good one. I'm not telling you not to buy it. But check out and download the (Fog?) videos, rip the audio and put it on your own disc. You'll have better music on your own disc.

Love the CD, but after just a few uses it started skipping on Before the Nightfall, my favorite song, and then won't play any further.
