THE BEST CD OUT THERE! THE FUTURE OF MUSIC! Feb 19, 2012
By B.T. Robert Francis has raised the bar for young singer/songwriters with his major label debut "Before Nightfall". He travels through a variety of sonic landscapes over the course of 12 tracks, but none of them are younger than his 21 years. Influences heard include U2, John Hiatt, The Replacements, Morrissey, Jeff Buckley, and most clearly - Nashville Skyline-era Dylan. Much like Ray Lamontagne's classic debut a few years back, there is a feeling when you listen to this album that you could be listening to it on your reel-to-reel in 1978.

By Karol Fowler Love the CD, but after just a few uses it started skipping on Before the Nightfall, my favorite song, and then won't play any further.
Amazing :) Jul 02, 2010
By AmberOhhh I only recently heard of Robert Francis, but already am addicted to his voice and his music. It's so soothing, and the song "Junebug"? AMAZING. Check out the music video here, I'm sure you'll agree: [...]
Right on target Jul 01, 2010
By C. Wagner Robert Francis has a haunting yet simultaneously comforting voice that is endlessly intriguing. His songs are mellow and reflective - I've been playing "Junebug" on repeat for the last 10 minutes (what can I say? Those "oooh"s are addictive), but the whole album is great. Definitely a perfect summer road trip album.
